"As an avid cyclist, I have fallen a bunch...it rattles you to the core. For something that brings so much joy and pure delight, it's amazing how a fall can change all that."  Carol G.

After my bike accident and surgery, I couldn't play guitar for six weeks. Although the range of motion in my left arm was still very limited at that point, it occurred to me that I might be able to play if I put a capo on the 7th fret. Hallelujah! I formed chords! I strummed! And in a shrill soprano, I sang!

Once I was able to play with the capo on the 5th fret, this little verse emerged. I waited until my arm could stretch down to the 3rd fret to record it. Then I started working on the video.

It may be only a nugget of art and music, but it let a lot of sadness out, and joy back in.

For bike videos:

On My Bike "Nothing can break me on these broken roads."

.

Off My Bike "Now I know that broken roads can break bones."

Tip: best to watch On My Bike first
